Deke Schlicher
I read between 10-15 books a month. Lately, I have been reading books my kids want me to read to ensure it is appropriate for them, but when the opportunity came along to read something just for me, I jumped at this one after seeing a summary. Not the type of book that I normally read, but it looked interesting. I am glad I picked it up. I was angry within a few minutes of reading at what she had to endure! By the end of the first hour of reading, I was furious!
As a Marine, I was outraged at the lack of honor, integrity, lack of compassion, and outright evil, this poor woman was forced to deal with. At the same time I was proud that she never gave up, didn't back down. I saw someone I could relate to and was cheering her on, even though I knew it was all in the past. However, I wasn't there didn't know the final outcome and was praying for her victory. I always knew I hated what unions have become and how bad the courts have become, but not how bad government jobs could get.
I recommend this book for all of those who root for an underdog. I recommend it to those who have never faced true adversity and those who have as well.I applaud the courage this fight took. Please read this book!
